Betty graduated from Parking High School in Arkansas. She then moved to California and lived there until 1979, when she moved to Norman, Oklahoma. In 2011, Betty moved to Missouri until her passing. Betty was a proud auto worker for General Motor in Oklahoma City.
Betty loved spending time with family, listening to country music, the color red, a nice summer day working in the yard, stock car races, the Dodger’s baseball team, going to the Green Lantern Senior Center in Wentzville, and later playing bingo at her home at Twin Oaks.
Betty married the love of her life Homer Lee Goad in 1958. They spent 52 wonderful years together until Homer’s passing on July 18, 2010.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband Homer Lee Goad, her parents William and Emmaline Dunn, brothers Lyman Clarence Dunn, Clifton Dunn, and Roy Dunn, and sisters Evelyn Cole and Myra Waldon.
Those left to cherish Betty’s memory are her children Homer Lee Goad Jr. of Broken Arrow, OK, Larry Dwayne Goad (Regis Ocampos Goad) of Lake Saint Louis, MO, and Terry Lynn Goad of Broken Arrow, OK; sister Jeanette Goad of Parkin, AR; grandchildren Tammy Thorn, Jeremy Goad, Jason Goad, Addison Biggs, and Nicolas Goad; bonus grandchild Tabitha Kelly; great grandchildren Alison Brown, Cole Goad, and Beau Biggs; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A visitation for Betty will occur on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 4-8 PM at Primrose Funeral Service in Norman, Oklahoma. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 2PM at Primrose Funeral Service. Betty will be inurned at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 11 AM.
Betty will always be remembered for being a good wife, mother, friend, a Cub Scout den mother, and Little league score keeper.
