Shirley Noe Schwartz

Our beloved mother and grandmother Shirley Schwartz passed away July 7, 2011 at Sentara Leigh hospital. She now joins her husband of 50 years John C. Schwartz who has been waiting for her patiently. Shirley has also been re-united with her mother Maude; father Ellis and 5 brothers and sisters who preceded her in death. Shirley had an unending love for family and held each of them close to her heart. She will be dearly missed by all. She made all our lives brighter and we are thankful to have been able to share life with her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son Mark and his wife Donna, a grandson Brian, who meant everything to her, and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. We would like to express our appreciation to Elaine Gordon who assisted Shirley over many years.

A celebration of her life will be conducted at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. Norfolk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday July 10, 2011 from 07:00 p.m. to 08:00 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday July 11 at 11:00 a.m. reception immediately following the service.
