He embraced Spirituality and attended AA Group and Unity Church of Tidewater.
He was a disabled veteran of the United States Navy and Department of Defense Civil Service Employee of 37 years. He was an active member of AA and volunteered many hours with AA groups at the Virginia Beach Department of Corrections. He and his wife were the owners of TSW Associations, Ltd., a janitorial services company he founded in 1992.
Sam was a loyal, long-time fan of the Washington Redskins football team and collected many "Redskins" memorabilia.
He is survived by his wife, Clementine Schofield-Warren; two daughters, Sandra Harris MacDonald and Felicia Harris of Myrtle Beach, SC; seven grandchildren, one brother, his children, and other relatives and friends.
