Robert Lee Hatcher

Robert Lee Hatcher (Bob), 84, went home to be with his Lord in Heaven on May 20, 2022. He was a native of Ohio and resident of Norfolk. Bob was survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Hatcher; his son Robert Jr.; his sister Bonny Stafford; his grandchildren Cierra, Bryce, Autumn; and his sister in-law, Carol Miller.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Hatcher; father, Gordon Hatcher; his sisters Marge, Louise, Marlene; and his brothers Henry and Gordon Jr.
Bob worked for Pepsi Cola and Ford Motor Company from which he retired. Bob was a Christian, a man of faith, a father and grandfather of three. His needs were simple. He was quiet but had a great sense of humor and a calm demeanor; was honest, humble, hardworking and kind. He loved photography and shared some beautiful memories. Bob also had a great singing voice. He was a member of Kempsville Baptist Church. He was also a veteran who served his country in the United States Navy.
A celebration of life will be held in the chapel at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E Virginia Beach Blvd, Wednesday, May 25, 2022. Visitation will begin at 10am and service will start at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kempsville Baptist Church (Purple Power Ministry) https://www.kempsvillebaptist.com or the charity of your choice.
