Ralph Bernard Bowden

Norfolk - Ralph Bernard Bowden, 85 passed away on April 29, 2009 In Autumn Care of Norfolk. A native of Norfolk, he was the son of the late John C. and Madora E. Bowden. Ralph served in the US Navy. He then worked for the Norview Cars, Inc. and retired after many years of service. Ralph loved his family and watching baseball and football. He was predeceased by 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

He is survived by his wife Margaret of Norfolk; 2 daughters, Norma “Tina” Talbot of Silina, KS, Debra Price Mizzell.a granddaughter Krystal D. Mizzell and Fiance Jason Alan Hanes all of Virginia Beach He is also survived by a nephew John W. Whitehurst Sr. and wife Gladys of Virginia Beach.and a host of other great nieces and great nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Coleman Place Presbyterian Church, Norfolk conducted by the Rev. Fred Archer and Rev. Fred Braswell. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, May 4, 2009, from 7-9pm at the funeral home.
