The most important thing to Linda was her family. Linda always loved attending family dinners at her parent's home every Sunday, and having holiday dinners at hers. Linda and Al would often surprise their children with spur of the moment weekend trips and they even took a trip to Florida to experience Sea World and Disney World. Linda went from hosting family dinners to being the guest of honor for family dinners as her family grew.
One of Linda's greatest joys was spending time with her grand-children who always called her "Nana".
Linda stayed active running her own company, International Sales and Service Inc. Linda also took the role of President for International Construction and Roofing Inc.
Both of Linda's children are still running the company that their parents built.
Linda also enjoyed spending time making floral arrangements to brighten up her home. She also enjoyed making arrangements for the Chesapeake Athletic Club. Out of all of the flowers Linda often worked with, by far her favorite flowers were roses and carnations.
Linda is preceded in death by her loving husband Al Trainer and their special baby "Sam", her parents Julia and James Sheppard and her sister Helen Ambrose.
Left to cherish her memory is her son James Trainer and daughter Teresa (Chet) Anderson, five grandchildren, Ben Trainer, Robert (Audrey) LeFebvre III, Alan (Alanna) Lefebvre, Christopher (Kady) Lefebvre and Sara (Jason) Lange. Linda also will be greatly missed by her 14 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends, near and far.
There will be a memorial service at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502 on Saturday, June 1st 2019 at 4:00 PM. A private burial will be held at a later date.
