Julia (Judy) Ann Green Woolsey, age 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 21, 2025. Judy was born in Virginia to the late Erving Paul and Ola V. Lane Green. She was one of six children. Her siblings, Margaret Howenton, Buddy Green, Ola Nieman, and Herbert Green join her in Heaven. Judy had many roles in her life including Sunday School teacher, Avon Lady, Front-End supervisor, Certified Nursing Assistant, and housekeeper and maintenance helper. She loved country music, especially Conway Twitty, playing Skip-O, and watching NASCAR. Her greatest love and accomplishment, however, was her family. Judy took great pride and pleasure in her children, grand-children and great-grandchildren.
Overcoming health obstacles including Scarlet Fever as a child and the heartache of losing her 27 year old son and 59 year old husband, Judy was a woman of great strength and faith. She persevered and continued to pour her love and strength into her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughter Kristi and her husband Robert (Rad) Daniel, loving son Curtis Woolsey and his wife Joy, younger brother Larry Green and wife Debbie; grand-daughter Lauren Daniel and her husband Arjun Patel; grand-sons DJ Larson and wife Winter and Austin Woolsey; great-grand-daughters Karlee Soto, Amelia Larson and Nadia Larson; niece Vicki Few and husband Joe, sister in law Sue Woolsey Pittman, cousin Bobbi Jo Armatis and husband Mike; close family friends Jim and Carman Goben; and Sassie her 9 month old mini-dachshund.
A graveside service for Julia will be held Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 10:00AM in Woodlawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, Virginia.
