Joanne E. Model

Joanne Model (Songco), 55, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014. Born on August 7, 1959 she was preceded in death by her parents Rose Marie and William Adam Model. Joanne spent most of her life in the jewelry business, owning Timeless Diamonds with her sister and best friend, Janet M. Aycock, since 2005. She made many friends and loyal clients. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Songco; her son, Adam Ellis; sisters, Janet M. Aycock, Jennifer M. Amos, and her beloved Bella. She leaves behind nieces, Alex and Olivia; nephews, Achilles and Zachary as well as many in-laws and extended family and friends including: Charlie, Cecil, Ida and Danny, Jessie and Lisa, Sabrina and Bob, and so many more. Jojo loved living the life; taking care of her husband and family, running a business, and relaxing with friends. She loved long, lazy Sunday mornings and the Dallas Cowboys. She loved animals, CSI, and the movie JAWS. Her witty sense of humor and kind, caring heart will be missed by all who knew her. We “stay Jojo strong” as we gather to celebrate her life. The family will receive friends at Woodlawn Funeral Home on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA in Joanne’s name at www.aspca.org/donate.
