James William Lewis Jr.

James William Lewis, Jr age 67, passed away at home on Friday, July 29th, 2022 in Hertford, North Carolina. James was born January 6th, 1955 in Wilson, North Carolina to the late James W. ”Jimmy” Lewis, Sr and Betty B Lewis. He is proceeded in death by his brother and best friend Johnnie Marvin Lewis. James is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years Deborah, who he cherished caring for since they were young teens. Also survived by their children Melissa Morrison(Gary) and Joey Lewis(Cally). Brother Linwood Lewis(Beverly), Sandra Chauvin (John) and Dennis Lewis(Danielle). Plus a bonus sister Brenda Dial (Tony). Grandchildren Christopher”CJ”, Marcus, Anthony, Kayla, Victor and Edward. Along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, in laws and more. James loved his Redskins football team, his music and his family. A viewing for James will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, Virginia 23502. Following the viewing will be a graveside service at 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, Virginia 23502. A Celebration of life will be from 12-3 at the Moose lodge, 1400 George Washington Hwy N, Chesapeake, Va. 23323.
