OBITUARY
James G. Campbell
July 19, 1920 – July 30, 2011
Norfolk – James G. Campbell, 91, went to be with the Lord on July 30, 2011. He proudly served for over 23 years and retired as Master Chief from the U. S. Navy, serving during WWII and Pearl Harbor. After his military career, Mr. Campbell retired from Civil Service; he belonged to the Fleet Reserve branch #60 and served in Fellowship within the Moose Lodge #39.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Adeline “Addie” Campbell; his daughters, Rose Salmon and husband, Mac and Carole Smith and husband Jim; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 pm on Monday, August 1, 2011 at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norview Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 11 am on Tuesday at the funeral home, concluding with a private burial at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
