We always looked forward to seeing Frank at the Hatteras Village Surf Fishing Tournament each year.  We were also shocked in September to see how fast his cancer had progressed.  We are saddened to hear that would be our last tournament together.  He was a great fisherman and friend to all who ever met him.  His laughter and smile will never be forgotten. I will miss my Uncle Frank so much.  He loved hunting and fishing.  I remember when he wanted to take me fishing and said he would put a worm in my palm so I would get used to it - lol.  Thankfully he never went through with that.

Uncle Frank was one of my favorite people growing up. When we came to visit, it was my job to get him and bring him to Uncle Tom's. He always had such a spirit about him. I miss more than he would ever know.. oh so much

My dearest friend, you have left for a place with no more suffering. I will cherish our 40 years of memories forever. Now you can meet the 12 point buck and 800 lb. fish that got away.  Will miss your smile and laughter.

Frank was a good brother. Tho distant I always admired his service and earning 2 Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart.He will be greatly missed.

Frankie & I were good buddies while at NCHS '60-'62. We both left after our junior year and life's events kept us from reconnecting. I am saddened by his passing and my sincerest condolences go out to his family.

Frank had a mischievous laugh, that kept you wondering! He was a loyal friend at Christ The King School and Norfolk Catholic High. I remember him being very protective of me when some boys from another school were making unwanted advances toward me on a city bus. All girls should have such a friend. I saw him after many years about 5 years ago and he was selling his house to move closer to his granddaughter. That's the way to spend your last years, being with people you love. Rest in peace Frankie. I know you're smiling.

I knew Frank while attending Norfolk Catholic High School.  He was a true friend and I admire him for his friendship and service to the US.

Frank has been one of my nearest and dearest friends for many years now.  He was not only my friend but also like a father to me.  His passing saddens me more than words can say.  I know though that he is in a much better place now.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.  Frank will be deeply missed.  Love you old man!!

I was a co-worker of Frank for many years at the Norfolk Naval Air Terminal and He has always treated me with respect and that is how I will always remember Frank.
