Edna Mae Harris

Edna Mae Harris, 75, passed away on February 5, 2021 from complications due to Alzheimer’s. She was born on May 10, 1945 to the late Eula Mae and Herman Wilkins in North Carolina. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack B. Harris, Sr.; brothers John, Corbett, and Warren G. Wilkins. Edna was an Investment Specialist for Investment Corporation of Virginia. She was also a medical insurance broker, and was a school bus aid for the City of Chesapeake working with special needs children. Edna was a loving mother to her two sons and extended family. She was an active member of her church for many years and had a passion for the beach, going fishing and crabbing, as well as growing flowers. Edna travelled extensively, cruising to Alaska, Bahama, Hawaii, Bermuda, Puerto Ricco, and the Northern Exposure with family and close friends. She is survived by her sons, Nick (Todd) Norris and his wife Melissa, and Timothy Norris; grandchildren, Brandon Norris, Ashley Mulero and her husband Chris, great-grandchildren, Lacey, David and Jackson Mulero; Edna’s sister, Joyce Tart and her children, Kevin Blevins, Joy, Nicole and Brian Tart and many nieces and nephews; step-son, Jack Harris, Jr., wife Jeanie, children, Jack Harris III, Joe Harris and his wife Shannon with their children, Logan and Nolan Harris. Step-daughter, Sue Martell and her husband, Vernon and their children, Shannon Hill and her husband, Brooks, Madison Harris and fiancé, Alan Bodea. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 2 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 East Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk VA 23502. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
