Diane Lorraine Connelly Robinson, 58, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 after a long hard fought battle. Diane was born in Lakewood Township, NJ but lived the majority of her life locally here in Hampton Roads, VA. She was born to the late Joan A. and John J. Connelly, Jr. Diane accomplished many feats in her lifetime, she was the first ever female conductor for Norfolk Southern Railroad. As a truck driver, she was fortunate to travel to 48 states. She also dabbled in sales marketing with different companies. She is cherished in memory by her husband, Richard “Dickie” Bailey; son, Kyle Young; sisters, Carolyn Tetterton, Kathleen VanNostrand, Karin Connelly as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and stepchildren.
A visitation will be from 3 to 7pm, Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Woodlawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 1pm, Monday, March 22, 2021 in the chapel.
