Cleo Young Proctor

NORFOLK Cleo Young Proctor, 87, passed away at Sentara Nursing Center on March 11, 2009. Born in Halifax County, Virginia, she was the daughter of Tom and Mary Lou Cole. She retired from Paramount Bedding Company of Norfolk, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her late husband Elmus Lee Young. Survivors include her husband, James A. Proctor; two daughters, Janet Young and husband Clarence (Duke) Young of Norfolk and Lou Askew and husband Donald Ray Askew of Sumerduck, VA; two sisters Lois Dunlow of Portsmouth, and Margaret Eudy and husband Roger Eudy of South Boston, VA; two brothers, Thomas Cole of South Boston, VA and Henry Cole and wife Alice of Virgilina, VA; seven grandchildren, Clarence C. Young III (Duke), Kirk D. Young, James Lee Young, Danielle Young, Donna Cloniger, Diane Graves, Joanne Vought; and six great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Sunday March 15, 2009 at 1:30 PM in Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 6315 N. Center Drive, Suite 233, Norfolk,VA 23502.
