Brenda Lee Wilson

She was educated and went on to graduate from Springfield High School. She held a career with the state of Illinois and was a procurement purchasing agent at NOB for government contracts. She later started her own business "Monique's Gift Baskets". She was a member of St. Paul AME Methodist Church while in Springfield, Illinois and joined Trinity Faith Diamond CHurch when she moved to Chesapeake, Virginia.

She was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life Carlton D. Wilson on April 30, 1976 and they were happily married for the next 48 years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.

She was survived by her husband Carlton Wilson; six siblings; Gwendolyn, Homer, Lionel, Winfred and John Stewart; three children; Michael Jacobs, Cyndee Corey and Rhonda Wells (Tyrone); four grandchildren, Charles (Yahmassicah) Corey III (Marie), Candis White (Jabarie), Christin Corey (Margarita) and Monique Wells; as well as fifteen great grandchildren; Jayden, Michelle, London, Yahvi, Flower, Bless Almighty, A'nyla, Arianna, Amir, Alexis, Levi, Basilio, Ezekiel, Lot and Bel.
