Born in Salisbury, NC, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Edward Williams and Rosa Viola Potts Williams.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Darrell Williams of Norfolk, VA, sister, Mamie Bean, and brother, James Williams, both of Lexington, NC.
She is survived by her husband, Malcolm Ross of Norfolk, VA; son, Porter Bradley Crawford (Patricia Crawford) of Virginia Beach, VA; two brothers, Ray Williams and John Williams, both of Lexington, NC; two sisters, Evelyn Wood of Lexington, NC and Margaret Kreemer of Slidell, LA; 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony for Brenda will be held at a later date.
