Anna Oglishen Gray, age 95, of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed away in Gordonsville, Virginia on Monday, December 27, 2021. Anna was born July 23, 1926. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Mary Oglishen and her husband Taylor Woodrow Gray, a sister Mary Hoffman and a brother Frank Oglishen.
Anna retired from AT&T/Verizon after 39 years of service. She was a member of The Virginia Symphony League, Chrysler Museum Norfolk Society of Arts, Suburban Woman's Club, Hermitage & Thoroughgood Gardens Clubs, Retired Officers Wive's Club and the Thoroughgood Civic League. She was honored by the Mayor of Norfolk for volunteering at Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters for over 20 years. She was a member of Bayside Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two nieces Susan Westlander and Nancy J. McSpadden; nephews David Hoffman, Paul D. Oglishen, James S. Oglishen and her stepdaughter Rebecca R. Gray.
A visitation for Anna will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, Virginia 23502.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, Virginia 23502.
