Alvin Lavon Parker, Sr.

Alvin retired from the Naval Supply Center after 35 years of service. Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, Merritt and Flossie Parker, his wife Clementine Person Parker, and his brothers and sisters. He married Marilla Harris Parker on December 3, 1971. He attended Community Church of Norfolk.

He put family first, always, and was a dedicated father and dad to Linda Lennon, Carla Perry (Carter), Alvin Parker, Jr. (Yvonne), William Parker (Vanessa), Michael Parker (Jessie), Anthony Parker (Emma), Keith Parker, Robin Owens, Darrell Parker, Dionne Parker, Rosalind McCauley, and Keith Mason (Sharon); many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Alvin will be sorely missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

We thank you daddy for being our Yes-Indeed Dad!!

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 3-5 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 East Virginia Beach Boulevard, Norfolk, VA. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
