Tee was born on March 22, 1934 in Charenton, Louisiana to the late Didier J. Louviere and Odette Hebert Louviere. Tee grew up in Franklin, Louisiana where she met and married Joseph R. Kubelka in 1952. They later moved to Destrehan, Louisiana in 1974 where they settled into their family home and lived for over 50 years.
Tee happily began each day the same — saying the rosary and praying for everyone she knew. She was a devout Catholic and an active parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, where for years, she participated in weekly Eucharistic Adoration. Tee was an avid gardener who often won Garden of the Month for her beautiful work.
Tee was an avid reader, reading books and the newspaper every day. She had a talent for crocheting quilts, which she gifted to family, and enjoyed solving word searches and building puzzles. A Saints football fanatic, she built her schedule around the Saints season schedule and never missed the airing of a game – WHO DAT? She loved following NFL and college football especially the LSU Tigers! Her passion for football was only exceeded by her love of shopping and showering her dogs with love and affection.
Tee was the matriarch of her family, serving as host for all major holidays, particularly Christmas Day, where she made the large family events warm, inviting, and memorable for everyone. She was beautiful and loving— and an incredibly special gift to her family and community.
Mrs. Kubelka was preceded in death by her parents Didier Louviere and Odette Hebert Louviere; her husband of 56 years, Joseph Kubelka, Jr., her sons Tim Michael Kubelka and Bryan Kubelka, Sr., brothers, Hardy, Harris, Raymond, Murphy, and Eugene Louviere; her beloved sister, Brenda Stevens; her grandson David “Ditta” Weber, Jr., and her great grandson Alexander Douglas Weber. She is survived by her brother Huey Louviere. She leaves behind her loving and devoted children to cherish her memory and the many happy times they shared: her son, Bob and daughter-in-law Sandy, her daughter Tracie and son-in-law Earl, her daughter Kasandra (Kaki), and her son, Kris and daughter-in-law Tammie.
Tee was the proud grandmother of Nasha (Bill), Sayra (Miki), Bianca (Mason), and Paige (Brant); Noel (Ashley), Hunt (Hailey), Kylie (Eddie), Sean (Aimee), and Kaitlin; Kolt (Mishel), Brittany (Jimmy), and Paige (Mikey); Brad (Lesley) and Bryan, Jr. “Bear” (Brittney); Candace (Ryan), Brandan, and Blake (Brittany); Connor, Claire, and Cohen; and 30 great-grandchildren, with another on the way!
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 9:30AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Road, Destrehan, LA. Visitation with the family will be held at the Church from 9:30AM until Mass begins at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for a donation to be made in Tee’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, as Tee was a dedicated monthly donor.
