Ruth Agnes Brady

A graduate of Gonzales High School, she also attended Rabouin School of Commercial Art in New Orleans and worked as a commercial artist for five years. She sketched furniture graphics for Barnett Furniture Co. ads for the Times Picayune. For more than 20 years, she provided art lessons for children and adults in her home in Norco. In 2002, Ruth Brady was named the recipient of the Angelus Award presented by the River Region Arts and Humanities Council. She appreciated fine arts, classical music and singing songs from her childhood. Along with her family, she cherished her close friends.

She is survived by five children, Kenneth Michael Brady of Hammond, LA (Laura), Charles Keith Brady of Norco, LA (Andrea), Timothy David Brady of Luling, LA (Carolyn), Elizabeth Ann Sebastian of New Orleans, LA and Claire Marie Landry of Des Allemands, LA (Brian) and by her sisters, Joyce H. Babin and Ann H. LeBlanc. She has 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonce P. Hebert and Marguerite Lambert Hebert; husband, Joseph A. Brady Jr. and son, Brian P. Brady.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend services Monday, September 21, 2015 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Norco, LA from 9AM till the time of Mass at 11AM. Interment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum in Destrehan, LA.
