Roy Edward Keller

Roy Edward Keller passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023 at the age of 90. He was a native of Welham Plantation and a life-long resident of Paulina, LA. Roy was born on January 5, 1933 to Milton Keller, Sr. and Elda Breaux Keller. After completing high school in Romeville, Roy attended Louisiana State University receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture. He was employed by Shell Oil Refinery in Norco, LA for 33 years. Upon his retirement, Roy enjoyed being able to garden fulltime. The “fruits” of his labor were thoroughly enjoyed by all his family. Tending to his many pecan and fruit trees was another favorite pass time. A most favorite time of the year was celebrating Christmas with the annual building of the “Keller Bonfire” with his sons and grandsons and the wiener roast with all the family.

Roy is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Kenny (Carolyn), Cory, Rodney (Missy), Jimmy (Janell); his grandchildren, Kirby Keller (Lauren), Trish Little (Lance), Christopher Keller, Courtney Roper (Ross), Chase Keller (Courtney), Cade Keller (Rylee), Elisabeth Laurent (Vincent) Jaime O’Dell (Austin); and nine great-grandchildren; sibling, Daniel Keller (Lynda) and sister-in-law, Bobbie Keller.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton, Sr. and Elda Keller, siblings, Milton Keller, Jr., Elizabeth Kelly. Leon Keller, Ray Keller, Thomas Keller, and Joyce Delahoussaye.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina, LA beginning at 9AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11AM with interment to follow in the church mausoleum.
