Percy Patrick Brignac, age 85, a longtime resident of Norco, LA was born in Hester, LA on March 17, 1930 and entered into eternal rest at 10:55 a.m. Monday, December 28, 2015 at Canon Hospice in Jefferson, LA. He leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years, Nancy Cuti Brignac; daughter, Gail B Gonzales (Terry); sons, Mark (Lyn) Brignac and James Brignac; grandsons, Jason Gonzales and Andrew Brignac; great-grandson, Jason Gonzales Jr.; brother, Winston Brignac; and sisters, Winnie Gueret and Donna Berthelot. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Minerva Pollet Brignac; son, David Brignac; granddaughter, Jamie Lyn Brignac; sisters, Ethel Martin and Iris Duhe; and brother, Jerry Brignac. No words can express how deeply he will be missed by his family. Percy proudly served in the USAF during the Korean War from January 20, 1949 to October 13, 1952 as a GCA Radar Mechanic. He trained in Mississippi and his travels took him to California and Germany.
Percy was a director of the Norco Lions Club, an officer for the American Legion Post 195, a committee chairman for the Norco Civic Association, and was Past President of the now defunct Norco Co-op. He was a retiree of Kaiser Aluminum in Gramercy where he worked for many years as a general repairman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, 821 Fourth St. Norco, LA 70079 on Saturday, January 2, 2016 from 7:30-10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Norco, LA. Interment to follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Destrehan, LA.
