Llewellyn "Lew" Eugene Owens

Llewellyn “Lew” Eugene Owens entered peacefully into heaven on Friday, July 25, 2014 at the age of 85. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a lifelong resident of Norco, Louisiana. Devoted husband of the late Lois Ann Bourgeois Owens for over 50 years. He is survived by his daughters, Kim Owens Madere (Bryan), Jan Owens Marchand (Charlie), and sons, Robin Owens (Anne) and Rance Owens. Proud grandfather of Chris, Sherry, Destiny, Adam, Brandi, Ashley, Sean and Chloe and also a great grandfather of 14 great grandchildren.

Son of the late Lynette Rickcreek Owens and Lester Owens. Brother of Tony Owens, Kate Owens and the late Norman Maestri.

“Lew” worked for Shell Oil and retired after 35 years and enjoyed his retirement spending time playing golf, fishing at Grand Isle and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Lions Club in Norco, LA.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 401 Spruce St., Norco, LA on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 11:00 AM.
