Lillian "Granny" Banquer

Lillian “Granny” Banquer passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. She has rejoined her beloved husband Harold J. Banquer in heaven. She was the loving mother to Bonnie Roussel(William), Douglas Banquer(Debra), Billie Sellars(Pat), Cindy Donaldson(Gerald) and Babs Ganucheau(Donnie). Granny held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren; Troy, Shawn R., Rebecca, Michael, Rusty, Timothy, Shane, Aaron, Jordan, Matt, Scott, Holly, Gabe, Kasi, Ben, Shawn S., Jeffrey, Josh, Brad, Wesley, Megan and her 32 great grandchildren. Lillian was born on February 4, 1924 to Georgette Hotard and Ursin “Jack” Laurent Sr., who have since preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her sister Odele Duhe. She is survived by two siblings, Bud Laurent and Cecile Trepagnier, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and family members.

Granny was a member of the Sewing Club, Sacred Heart Altar Society, Camping Club and Boy Scout Den Mother for many years. She will be greatly missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her. A special thank you to her extended family at Maison Oaks for all of their support and compassion.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Norco, La at 11:00AM.
