of 93. Son of the late John L. and Florestine Z. Faucheux, who would have been so proud of the man he
became. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Valda Fay Faucheux by second marriage, preceded
in death by the late Rita Joyce Faucheux, his wife by first marriage of 44 years. Father of John J.
Faucheux Jr. (Cheryl), Gail F. Roussel and Mary F. Ventura (Butch). He is also survived and admired by
his 7 grandchildren, Marcelle Gondolfo, Brandon Faucheux, Christy Roussel, Brock Ventura, Byron
Ventura, Jamie Hodges, Josh Ventura and preceded in death by the late Daniel Roussel. Also survived by
14 great grandchildren along with several nephews and nieces as well as his two sisters Gertrude and
Kay (JT), sister-in-law and special helper Betty (late Bunny) , sister-in-law Jackie (late Roger) and sisterin-
law Denise (late Lenny), preceded in death by his brother Roy (Angie). ‘Big John’ ‘BJ’ was a successful
insurance agent for over 40 years and a founding co-owner of Louisiana Insurance Service, retiring in
1991. He served honorably in World War II in Europe. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion,
Knights of Columbus and Norco Lions Club. He will be dearly missed as father, grandfather, great
grandfather uncle, brother-in-law, mentor and overall, a strong and wonderful man, a man of integrity,
wisdom and humor. He loved his gardening and many memories of family at his camp in Grand
Isle. Special thanks to his longtime friend and neighbor Huey Long and his caretakers LeToyia, Leroy,
Becca and Rebekah. Visitation will be held Friday, January 30, 2015 at St. Charles Borromeo Church in
Destrehan from 11:30AM-1:30PM with celebration of mass at 1:30PM. Interment with military honors
will be in the St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the ARC of
