Jeffrey Michael Donaldson

Jeffrey Michael Donaldson, age 45, passed peacefully in the arms of his wife on July 8, 2023 at their home in Destrehan, LA after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Jeff was married to his first love of 27 years, Kristy Coppock Donaldson, where they met in high school, and have two beautiful daughters, Kamryn Claire and Kinley Grace.

Jeff was born on September 24, 1977 to Gerald Jr. “Doody” and Cindy Banquer Donaldson of Norco, LA. Jeff attended Destrehan High School where he exceled in both academics and athletics, earning him the role of 1995 Salutatorian and received several scholarships. He chose to attend Louisiana State University and obtained his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA). Immediately following college graduation, Jeff began working with Ochnser Health System as an Administrative Fellow and from there took on many director and leadership roles within the organization over his 20 years there. Jeff ended his successful career at Ochnser as Assistant Vice President- System Urgent Care and would like to thank his whole team for all the love and support they gave him, especially while he was sick.

Jeff bled purple and gold and grew up a super fan of LSU sports, especially LSU football. You could always count on him to know every stat and upcoming recruit and player on the TIGERS roster. He looked forward to going to the games with his family and friends every fall, and he couldn’t wait to go on his annual LSU football “away” game trip with the guys. Travelling was his other passion and Jeff was an expert at booking amazing vacations. He shared his love of travelling with his family, taking them on trips to Europe, chartering a private catamaran in the Virgin Islands, staying in fancy, private villas on St. John, to horseback riding in Yellowstone, Christmas holidays in the mountains, and numerous trips to Disney just to name a few.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Kristy Coppock Donaldson and their daughters, Kamryn and Kinley Donaldson, his parents, Gerald “Doody” and Cindy Donaldson, his brother, Josh Donaldson and wife, Lauryn and their children, Grace and Benjamin Donaldson, and his in-laws, Craig and Theresa Coppock. Jeff is also survived by many cousins, who were some of his most cherished friends. Jeff is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gerald “Jack” and Annette Donaldson and Harold and Lillian Banquer.

Jeff will be honored in a private memorial service per his wishes at a later date. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him.
