Paul Francis Dillon, affectionately known as Pete, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025. Born on August 11, 1945, in Philadelphia, PA, Pete was the beloved son of the late Mildred and Philip Dillon.
Pete is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Betty, his cherished daughter, Nadia and his son-in-law, Eric. He is also survived by his brother, Philip Dillon, and his twin sister, Kathryn Casner (Clifford). Pete also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who adored him.
Pete spent his early years in Pennsylvania before moving to Connecticut just before high school. A gifted athlete, he excelled at football, basketball, and baseball during his time at Amity High School. Following graduation, Pete honorably served his country in the U.S. Army for three years, including time stationed on Johnston Atoll including missions in Vietnam.
After his military service, Pete built a successful career as a car salesman with Ford, where he worked for over 30 years. Known for his quick wit, charm, and sense of humor, Pete had a magnetic personality that drew people to him. A true ladies' man up until the end, he had a way of making everyone feel special and welcome. However, his greatest pride and joy was being a father to Nadia who truly matched his sharp wit and humor.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the GoFundMe account established to help cover Pete’s outstanding medical expenses. https://www.gofundme.com/f/pete-dillon-with-his-ongoing-medical-expenses
