Ken was born in San Jose, CA to Gilbert and Wilma Scott on 11/26/1935. He went to school in San Jose and was a graduate of the University of Connecticut, where he met and married his wife, Barbara on January 17, 1959. He worked as a pharmaceutical salesman for Bristol Meyers Squibb for over 30 years.
Ken is preceded in death by Barbara, who left us on September 22, 2013.
Ken was a devoted father and grandfather and will be missed by all who loved him. He is survived by his two daughters, Karen Wright and Linda Kantor. He is also survived by his six grandchildren: Matthew and his wife Jenn; Claire Wright; Charlotte Wright; Noah, Phoebe and Talia Kantor, and two great grandchildren, Eva and Isaac Wright. He is also survived by his sister, Anne and his brother Tom.
He enjoyed watching all types of sports, and this summer he traveled to Fenway Park to see his beloved Red Sox. He shared his love of the Red Sox with his family, especially with his granddaughters, Claire and Charlotte. An avid reader, Ken was especially interested in historical non-fiction and enjoyed researching his family genealogy with his daughter, Linda.
Calling hours are from 11 am to 12 PM at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home in Niantic, CT, Friday, September 2, 2022, followed by a memorial service at Fulton Theroux at 12PM.
