He was born on July 13, 1990, in New Haven, the precious son of Paula DeMatteo Glenn and Norman E. Bersing of Old Lyme and James C. Glenn III, of CA.
Jonathan was a Dean’s List student at Lasell College in Newton, MA. Jonathan graduated from Lyme-Old Lyme High School in 2008, a member of a tightly knit class of friends who are a family to him and each other. Jonathan will forever be remembered for his beautiful smile and contagious laugh. Jonathan was a well-loved contributing member of the Techno Ticks robotics team and a Life Scout with Troop 26 where he gained his love and admiration of nature. Jonathan travelled throughout North America visiting nearly every National Park and enjoyed hiking and exploring Devil’s Hopyard State Park in HadLyme whenever he had the opportunity.
In addition to his parents, Jonathan is survived by his siblings Jessica Bersing of Old Lyme, Sean Bersing of Cedar Rapids, IA, James Glenn IV of Brooklyn, NY, Wesley Glenn of CA and Nathan Bersing of Old Lyme; his maternal grandparents Joseph and Kitty DeMatteo of Branford and his paternal grandmother Joyce Glenn of CA; and a close, extensive and loving family.
