Jean C. Peabody, 89, passed away Monday, April 15, 2019 at Bride Brook Health & Rehab Center in Niantic where she had been a resident for the past ten years.
Jean was born January 27, 1930 in Norwich to Claire Bennet and Joseph Zukowski. She was an avid reader who loved cats, wildlife and sharing memories of her teaching days in Alaska during the 1950s. She had a dry, sarcastic wit and could be quite sassy.
Jean is survived by her many friends and caretakers at Bride Brook and Masonicare Hospice.
There will be no services and burial will be private.
Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home in Niantic is handling the arrangements.
