Carol Larson

Carol W Larson, 90, of Brainerd Rd Niantic, went to be with the Lord, her husband Ring, parents Franklin and Anna brothers Frank, Charlie, Kenny, Allen “Jiggs”, David, and sisters Lillian, Shirley, and Ginny on April 17, 2025.

A force to be reckoned with, she was the last of the Wentworth family to earn her wings. Carol, a native of East Lyme and proud New Englander loved life and was devoted to her family. She is survived by her son Allen Larson (Heather), daughter Lillian Liebenthal (Daniel), grandchildren Brittany Fluet (Jeffrey), Matthew Liebenthal, Wade Larson, great granddaughter Isla Mae Fluet, and many nieces, nephews, as well as several great nieces and nephews; all of whom she cherished deeply.

Carol enjoyed celebrating life with family and friends. She was always so happy to be around her loved ones, ready to reminisce and make new memories; and she was never without her quick witty remarks that would send people laughing.

She especially looked forward to her weekly Tuesday get-togethers with special friends Wynn Boutin and Linnea Mazzulli.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the Waterford VNA, Hartford Hospice, and caregiver Carolyn Smallidge for their exceptional support and care in recent months.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a graveside service, 11 am on Thursday April 24th at East Lyme Cemetery with a reception at Filomena's Restaurant immediately following. Memorial donations may be made to Flanders Baptist and Community Church in East Lyme Ct.
