Quaker Hill- Carol Gallagher Lamothe, 53, passed on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her husband and daughter. Mrs. Lamothe was born on October 12, 1967, in New York City. She was the daughter of Marie Frances and William Huber.
Carol was an avid animal lover, especially for her dog Bailey and her hummingbirds. She loved the beach and most of all being surrounded by her grandkids playing Play-Doh and Barbies. Her journey with addiction led her to be an inspiration to others as she led the Hope Floats Facebook group that provided support to those struggling. On January 1st, she celebrated 11 years of sobriety. She fought for many years with multiple illnesses and never waivered in her faith. Carol will forever be remembered for her huge heart, positivity and being the family photographer. She lived by the words “Faith over Fear” and we know she is now resting in the arms of Jesus.
Mrs. Lamothe is survived by her husband Norman Lamothe, her daughter Monica Wiggins and her husband Justin Wiggins of Lisbon, and their three children Madison, Josie, and Jace. She is also survived by her four siblings Charles Gallagher (Valerie), John Gallagher (Jean), Edward Gallagher (Frances) and Veronica Reguin (Kenneth). She is predeceased by her mother, Marie, her father William, father in-law Richard Lamothe, and siblings Lorraine and James Gallagher. Aside from a big family, she was very loved by her many friends she made everywhere she went.
A small graveside service will be held for close friends and family on Tuesday February 2nd, 2021 at 11:00am at East Lyme Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Hospice Angels Foundation. https://hospiceangels.org/ways-to-give/make-a-memorial-or-honor-a-loved-ones-name/
