Barbara Norton Hannon

Barbara grew up in Kensington, Connecticut where she graduated from Berlin High School in 1936. After high school she began work for a company in Meriden Connecticut. as an Office Worker where she worked through the war and continued her career with Continental Can in Berlin. She left the work force to become a home maker and mother to her son for 18yrs. She returned to work with Sherri Cup of Berlin until retiring with her husband to Crescent Beach in Niantic.

Barbara met Ernest W. Hannon in High School. They were happily married for 54 years. Barbara was a lifelong member of the Kensington United Methodist Church, as a young woman she enjoyed tennis where she played in numerous tournaments. She also enjoyed organized bowling leagues

Barbara was preceded in death by Ernest W. Hannon her husband, Frances and William Norton Sr her parents, Dorothy Schauble her sister, and William Norton Jr. her brother

Barbara is survived by her loving Son Kim of Middleborough, Massachusetts, nieces Donna Mousch and Diane Barone, also nephews William Norton 3rd and Brian Norton.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 11:00 am in Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 13 Lake Ave. Niantic Connecticut. Calling Hour will be one hour prior to the service at 10:00 in the funeral home. Burial will follow at West Lane Cemetery in Kensington, Connecticut.
