Robina Idella nee Blain Thompson

THOMPSON, Robina Idella – Died surrounded by her loving family on April 14, 2013 at 91 years of age. Born in Niagara Falls, Ontario on August 1, 1921. Wife of the late Arthur A Thompson of Niagara Falls; mother to Wayne A Thompson of Sault Ste Marie; Donna Smith (Brian) of Ballentrae and Calvin Thompson (Janet) of Niagara Falls. Survived by grandchildren Kiley and Charlotte Thompson, Michael and Matthew Smith, and Stephanie and Vanessa Thompson; and pre-deceased by grandchild Michael Thompson. Survived by her sister Dorothy Valente (Tony) of Burlington. Pre-deceased by brothers William Blain (Naomi) and Henry Blain (Millie) and sisters Ruby Hamilton (Thomas) and Margaret Beaupit (William) all of Niagara Falls and her parents Robina Scott and William Blain born in Scotland. Special thank to the nurses and doctors of the ICU Unit of the Niagara General Hospital for their care and compassion.

Family and friends will be received at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue, on Wednesday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 PM. A funeral service will be held at Stamford United Church, 3855 St. Peter Avenue on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 1 PM. Interment in Fairview Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated
