Robert "Bobby" Charles Orr

Peacefully passed away, at his home, on Saturday, December 30, 2023, surrounded by his family, at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of the late Wendy (nee Bosnak). Loving Dad of Kyle Orr (Matt), Michael Orr (Frankie), Robert Orr (Katie), and Taylor Orr (C.D.). Proud and cherished Grandfather of Tristan, Quinn and Kennedy. Predeceased by his parents Robert Fairfax Orr and Irene May Armstrong, and sister Judy Orr and brother Michael Orr. Bobby will be missed by his canine companions Jack, Rocky and Oskar. He will be lovingly remembered by his nieces Milana, Iasia and Amarah, as well as his former patients and friends, especially Toni Rose Franco and Ronnie Zimmerman.

Bobby was a beloved Chiropractor, specializing in sports injuries in Niagara Falls for almost 40 years as well as a City Councilor having served a number of terms in the city he loved. He was actively involved in the local minor hockey league with his friends Al Boone and Butch Sacco. One of the founding members of Team Canada Ball Hockey, he had a large part in bringing organized ball hockey to the Niagara Region. In his down time, you could either find “Sneaky Long” on the golf course or bending his arm on the slot machines at the Casino.

In keeping with Bobby’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to your local Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
