After a courageous battle with ovarian cancer on August 28th, 2017 at the age of 65. Survived by her daughter Sonya Petrella and Brad (Bianca) Petrella. Beloved grandma to Isaiha, Angelia, Ava and Maya. Sadly missed by her mother Margaret Cormier, sister Diane Roussel (Patrick Fitt) and brother Michael Cormier. Greeted in heaven by her father Fernand Cormier and sister Betty Doucette. Rita was devoted to her church and loved by many, she has left her mark.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at GLENGATE ALLIANCE CHURCH, 6009 Valley Way, Niagara Falls on Saturday Sept. 9th at 11:00am with visitation beginning one hour prior. Reception to follow service, interment to take place at Fairview Cemetery at 2:15pm
