Lily Williams

Passed away peacefully on Monday, December 2, 2019 at the GNGH at the age of 96 years. Beloved mother of Patricia. Remembered by her sister Sybil. Predeceased by her siblings: Gwen, Hicks, Jasper “Pepsi”, Aubrey, and Willis. Survived by her sister in law Joy Williams. Lily will be lovingly remembered by her cousins, her nieces, her nephew and their families, and her friends.

Lily was born in Lucea, Jamaica and moved to Toronto to join her sister Gwen. She worked as a Secretary for many years, excelling in shorthand. She had a love for shopping and gardening. She played tennis in her earlier years, and enjoyed her times at the casino in her later years. She just loved to be outdoors. Christmas was her favourite holiday and the Canadian National Exhibition was her favourite place to visit during the summer. She was outgoing and friendly and met new friends wherever she went.

In keeping with Lily’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be said at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2019 at St. Patrick’s Church, 4673 Victoria Ave. Niagara Falls (905-354-7451).
