John Miller

John Albert Miller passed away peacefully at the GNGH on Monday, March 18th at the age of 85. Loving partner of 38 years to Edna Leskiw. Proud Dad to Patti (Rick), Debbie (Paul) and John. Grandpa to Mike McRae (Michelle), Ashley Miller and Dusty and Dayna Willick. Great grandpa to Madison and Mason McRae. Stepfather to Dale Kern (Geoff), Sandy Brennan (Ed), Matt Leskiw (Bev) and Mike Leskiw. Grandstepfather to Leslie Kern, Josh Kern (Kathy), Laura Brennan (Phil), Lucas Leskiw (Linda) and Stephanie Leskiw. Predeceased by daughter Judy McRae (1996) and son-in-law Danny Willick (1997).

John retired as a stone mason from the Niagara Parks Commission and as a maintenance worker at Lubrizol.

John cherished life to the fullest with family and friends. He was an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying golf, baseball and hockey. His love for coaching influenced the lives of many. He worked on the Sports Wall of Fame for many years. He will be remembered for his sense of humour, his storytelling, his nuggets of wisdom and sharp memory.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of John's life will be held at a later date.
