Passed away peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Monday, April 7,2014 at 72 years of age. Missed by her daughter Michele (Bryan Lowes) of Niagara Falls. Grandmother of Meaghan, Tiffany (Philip Janzen), and Michael Morris, and step-grandmother of Christine and Maegan Lowes. She is survived by her cousins Judy and Chuck Moscato. Predeceased by her parents Madge Duhart (McNair) and Michael Duhart, and by her uncle Richard McNair. Nan was a 22 year employee of the Niagara Falls Review. Her family wishes to extend their thanks to Marie Coatsworth, Brenda Spence, Judy Nadeau, and Joan Shelley.
Family and friends will be received at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue, on Thursday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 11 AM. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy, contributions to Irene`s memorial expenses are appreciated and may be made at the funeral home.
