Peacefully at GNGH on January 1st 2012 in her 97th year with her family by her side. Predeceased by her husband Howard (2002). Beloved mother to Trudy (Doug) Warren, Grandmother to Michele “Micki” (Shane) Wright and Great-Grandmother to Grace Gwendolyn Wright. Loved Aunt to Una Lihou, Jerry (Anne) Bromhall of Georgia, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Gwen loved to play the organ, visit with friends and bake for Christ Church coffee hour. She especially loved to meet up with the mall walkers at Niagara Square. A special thank-you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at GNGH for all the support, respect, and care given to Gwen and her family.
In keeping with Gwen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at HETHERINGTON AND DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 5176 Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls on Wednesday January 4th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Church, 4750 Zimmerman Ave. Niagara Falls on Thursday January 5th at 11:00 a.m. A private burial at Stamford Columbarium will take place a later date.
