Born February 19, 1938 in Toronto, Ontario and moved to Niagara Falls in 1966. Fred passed into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Niagara General Hospital with his family by his side. Fred was the beloved husband of Margaret Sue (Blackwood) Ferrier for 63 years and the father of Cindy (Gary) Hastie, H. Michele Smith (Darren Friskie), and Daniel Ferrier. Loving grandfather to Andrew Smith (Laura Bannister), Brianna (Smith) Papahatzis (Arron) and Nathanael Smith (Jacob), Joshua Hastie and Michael Hastie. Great grandfather to Brayden, Cohen and Nora. Fred’s only remaining sibling Betty Iveson (Gene predeceased) and predeceased by siblings; William, Joseph and Reford Ferrier, Aloma St. Jean and Delora Wilson. Uncle to Jan and Stan Lazarski. Fred will be missed by special friends and his church family at Grace Gospel Church.

A celebration of life will be held at Grace Gospel Church, 5855 Valley Way Niagara Falls on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 11:30am.
