Her legacy will live on with countless research trial studies, she did all of this to find a cure, to help herself and others. She was fighting for her life and for others as well.
Highlights of her life include; graduating from Niagara College in June 2015 from the Horticulture program, she always wanted to be a gardener and achieved her dream by working at the Niagara Parks as a Gardener. She loved video games, stayed up laughing and screaming through the night. She was an avid adventurer, she loved hiking, and all things outdoors. She wanted to see the world in all of its glory; she traveled to Japan, Banff, Arizona, Key West, Boston, and New Brunswick, to name a few. She was an artist, she painted and drew which helped her cope and get through. You can see her art and travels on her Instagram @cancer_on_adventure.
She will be deeply missed by her parents Beth and Shawn, her sisters; Amanda, Kara (Eddy), Elysha (Lucas), her nephews and niece; Jake and Sam, and Mila, she wants them to live their lives to the fullest, don't take it for granted, don't let anything stop them. She had her Grandma, and many special Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins who will have beautiful memories of her. She leaves behind her close friends; David, Tory, Jess, Andrew, Jojo - as well as many others that she met around the world and online. And lastly, her cat Oliver who sat with her until the end.
She left a mark on everyone she met, she had a beautiful soul and trusted her Creator.
If desired donations to Princess Margaret or Humane Society can be made in Emma's memory.
Her family wishes to thank the St. Elizabeth Palliative Care Team along with Nurse Christopher. They also wish to thank CTG Patient Transfer because without them they wouldn't have had as much time to cherish with Emma.
