Age 83, passed away peacefully at Greater Niagara General Hospital on Friday May 6th, 2022. Father of Shelley (Gabor) and cherished Grandfather and best friend of Marcus (Lorie). Don will be greatly missed by many friends but especially by his dear friend Lee. A very special thank you to Roger and Laurie Armstrong, Kevin McCann, Bill McCleary & John Mantini for your continued support and friendship to Don.
Donald was born March 26th, 1939, in Truro Nova Scotia and later moved to Alberta to join the logging industry. Eventually Don made his way to the Niagara Region where he settled down and became a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator and Volunteer Firefighter. He dedicated many years of service to Moore-McCleary Industrial Docks & St. David’s Fire Brigade.
He was a hard-working man that didn’t stop when he was tired – he stopped when he was done!
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be taking place at a later date.
