Donald G. Bedell

Peacefully, surrounded by loving family at Millennium Trail Manor in Niagara Falls on October 29th, 2017 at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of Marion for 62 years and loving father of Cathy (Glenn) Fugler, Carole (Steve) Hari, John (Laurie) Bedell. Greatly loved grandfather of Cameron, Christine, Hilary, Stephanie, Alexandra, and Genevieve. Survived by his siblings Beverley (George) Scott and Cliff (Betty) Bedell. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings; Roy, Lois, Gord, Ken and Fred.  Don was like a second father to Mike, Larry and Allan and was an enthusiastic volunteer, and a mentor to a generation of young men in scouting, and a helper to anyone in need. Don was a long-time, active member of Kitchener St. and Lundy’s Lane United Churches. He retired from a long career as  an industrial mechanic at Nabisco and was a proud Canadian who loved the outdoors. Thanks to the staff of Millenium Trail Manor and Willoughby Manor for their compassion and care.

The family will receive visitors at HETHERINGTON AND DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 5176 Victoria Ave. Niagara Falls on Friday November 3rd, 2017 from 7-9pm and on Saturday November 4th from 12 – 2pm. A Funeral Service will begin at 2pm followed by cremation with interment to be held at a later date.
