Betty Doreen (Woodward) Brooks

It is with great sadness the family of Betty Brooks announces her passing on December 16, 2022, at the age of 91. Loving wife of the late William Brooks. Beloved mother of Robert, Dan (Dolly), Brian (Julie), and Will (Kristy). Dearest grandmother to Christine, Steven, Macey and Jack; and great grandmother to Ayden, Addison and Everlee. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Reg and Mary, and several nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by her son Steven and siblings Jesse, William and John.

Betty enjoyed several trips with her husband Bill and later with her roomie, Mary. She was an amazing wife and mother who always put her family first. Betty had a very active social calendar and loved getting together with family and friends. She worked at Towers and Zellers for 25 years where she made many great friends and was a regular at the local bingo halls.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to our cousin Kathy for her love and support and the entire staff of the 2nd floor of the Port Colborne Hospital for their compassionate care. And finally, an extra special appreciation is extended to Kristy, as mom’s primary caregiver, for her time and support over the past years.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Betty’s life on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at the Shriner’s Hall on 5621 North Street, Niagara Falls. Please share a story or memory of Betty below for the family.
