

Born and raised in New York City, New York, William previously lived in Lake Hopatcong and had been a resident of Sussex County since 1978. He was a United States Air Force veteran. A safety specialist at Picatinny Arsenal in Wharton, William retired in 2007 after 35 years of service. He was an avid sports fan and
especially liked soccer and baseball. He also enjoyed going to flea markets.
The son of the late Otto and Olga Priester, William was also predeceased by his sister, Roberta. He is survived by his wife, Mary K. Priester; his daughters, Erin Priester of San Antonio, Texas, and Marina C. Priester of Phillipsburg; as well as two granddaughters.
Graveside Services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at Newton Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, New Jersey.
