Born and raised in Colden, NY, Terry lived in Parsippany before moving to Andover Borough. He was a mechanical engineer for 42 years with Ohaus Scale Corporation before retiring from Flextronics in Parsippany in 2011. A member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Terry’s hobbies included wood crafting and cross stitching. He also enjoyed puzzles and riding rollercoasters.
The son of the late Leland and Ruth Frantz Herman, Terry is survived by his wife, Marie Herman; his children, Jennifer Lavery of Clayton, NC, Jeremy Herman of Stanhope, Jill Phillips of Vernon, Jodi Jones of Vernon, Joshua Herman of Greentown, PA, and Jacqueline Eastridge of Montague. He is also survived by his sister, Onaly Baker of Tampa, FL. Terry was the grandfather to sixteen grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 37 Newton-Sparta Road, Newton. Visitation will be held Monday, May 3, 2021, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton.
