Suzanne was born on October 28, 1957 in Passaic, New Jersey to Leonard and Marilyn Heflich. Throughout her life, Suzanne had a soft spot for animals. She rescued 5 dogs and fostered several cats. She was well known for her love of cows and amassed quite a collection over the years. She enjoyed puzzles, board games, and was a very competitive card player. She loved relaxing by the water, whether at the beach or by the lake in Maine. She treasured spending time with her family and friends, had a great sense of humor and Halloween was her favorite holiday.
Suzanne is survived by her two loving sons, Daniel and Chris Ramirez; daughter-in-law, Camille Ramirez; granddaughter, Delphine Ramirez; her mother, Marilyn Heflich; siblings, Len Heflich (Lynda), Tom Heflich (Diana), Marilyn Massari (John), sister-in-law, Cathy Lachmann (Charlie), and brother-in-law, George Ramirez; her nieces and nephews, Jessica, Michael and Arya Campbell, Adrienne, Jon, Josephine and Boaz Lemmond, Brian, Jenny and Matilda Heflich, Eric and Paulina Heflich, Walter Heflich, Michael Massari, Alex Massari, Chad Lachmann, Kyle Lachmann, and Ali Coco. Suzanne also leaves behind her loving furbaby, Roxanne, and Beckett Ramirez and Kenny Massari.
Suzanne was predeceased by her father, Leonard Heflich; her father-in-law, Daniel Ramirez; and her mother-in-law, Julia Ramirez.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St, Newton, NJ 07860. A funeral service will follow on Thursday, October 27, at 10 a.m., with interment taking place at Garden of Memories, 300 Soldier Hill Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652.
