Rose Ann was born on January 6, 1950 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to the late George and Maryann Bargiel. She worked as the head cashier for ShopRite for 25 years before retiring in 2013.
In her younger years Rose Ann was an avid crafter, enjoyed traveling, and was very involved in the PTA. In her spare time she liked watching TV and playing solitaire, but she especially treasured the moments when she was around her two grandchildren.
Rose Ann is survived by her children, Ronald Slate and his wife Tanya, and Deborah Slate. She is also survived by her two beloved grandchildren Hannah and Hayden Slate. Rose Ann is predeceased by her husband, Ronald Slate.
A celebration of Rose Ann's life will take place on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St, Newton, NJ 07860, followed by Rose Ann's Final Resting Place at 1:30 p.m. in Port Murray Cemetery, 24 Cherry Tree Bend Rd, Port Murray, NJ 07865
