Dick was born in Elizabeth, NJ on June 22, 1939 to the late Walter and Phyllis (Blum) Siegel. He grew up in Denville, NJ before settling in Green Township, NJ in 1972, then in Andover Township, NJ 15 years ago. Prior to his retirement, Dick ran his own construction company, R.W. Siegel Construction. Many of the homes throughout Green and Andover were built by Dick. He was also a member at Yellow Frame Presbyterian Church.
Dick loved woodworking and you could always find him tinkering on new projects. Throughout the years he could always be found working on projects for his wife & children’s activities, such as 4-H, Project Graduation, Boy/Girl Scouts and many more. He appreciated spending time outdoors; eagle watching and fishing and was known to be a history buff, especially of WWII. Many summers were spent fishing and vacationing with friends and family at Long Beach Island. Dick loved watching his grandsons play baseball, from little league through high school and was very proud of all of their accomplishments. He cherished spending time with his family.
Dick is survived by his children, son Mike Siegel, his wife Leigh and daughter Missy Siegel, his grandsons, Joshua and Matthew Siegel, his sister, Jeri Urynowicz and his dear friend Debbie Purdy.
